Visit our testimonial page to see what our students are saying. Every year, aspiring music teachers start their own studio, and a year or two later it's closed. The Academy has a proven track record of offering quality music, piano, voice, singing, songwriting, GarageBand, and audition prep lessons in Greenwich, Connecticut year round. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons trusted by over 1,000 families, first in California from 1992-2003, then in and around Greenwich for over fifteen years.
We offer the most spacious, comfortable and parent-friendly waiting area in Greenwich -- your own home.
Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy their child's lesson time in their own favorite chair. You can relax or get caught up on emails -- our you can watch your child's lesson while you wait. You can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
Technology is a big part of lessons at the Greenwich Arts Academy. This allows students to have a modern and engaging lesson using music teaching apps, music software, Skype, Zoom, and more. Feel free to "Bring Your Own Device" to your lesson in addition to your instrument!
One of the things that has really set us apart is our focus on providing lessons that are fresh, new, and engaging. There are so many great teaching apps out there now that we felt we had to update our curricula to incorporate them where appropriate. By doing so, our students never run the risk of being bored by their lessons. It's a challenge to engage children or adults, but by integrating technology such as teaching apps from the iTunes store, GarageBand, ProTools, you name it, we're providing a cutting-edge lesson experience in the Greenwich area.

We are one of the only music schools in Greenwich that offers biannual recitals with a grand Steinway or Yamaha piano in first-class venues.
Every parent just wants to know how their child is doing and if they are really progressing. The best way for a parent to understand if their investment in lessons is really worth it, is to have their child participate in a recital.
In June and December many of our students choose to perform in our biannual recitals. We hold these in lovely spaces with world class acoustics, such as the First Congregational Church in Stamford or St. Paul Lutheran in Westport.
For your child, the Greenwich Arts Academy recital experience will be low-stress and high-reward. Many music schools don't adequately rehearse their students, leaving them prone to stage-fright and the kinds of bad experiences some of us remember from when we were kids. Our students prepare for four to six weeks -- when it's their turn to play, they're ready, and steady. In fact, our recitals are so well-rehearsed and our young and not-so-young performers so professional, that we don't even call our shows "recitals"... they're concerts.
Unlike many schools in Greenwich we do not charge admission or sell tickets to our concerts -- there is only a small participation fee per student. You are encouraged to bring your family and friends to the show for free to share in the fun!

One of the benefits of living in Fairfield and Westchester Counties is the proximity to great arts programs. It also means that standards are high and competition is fierce. Whether you are auditioning for the middle- or high-school musical, for any of the many excellent local or regional theater groups, or competing to get into an excellent conservatory or university music program, being cool and well-prepared is key. We are proud to offer this vital service to performers of all backgrounds in the Greenwich area.
We are the only music school in Greenwich that gives its students the opportunity to earn special color wristband bracelets (kids and teens love them!), trophies AND certificates for passing musical tests.
Do other schools offer trophies and certificates? A few. But none of them inspire their students with smiling faces by giving them full color, really cool “Musical Ladder®” wristbands and trophies that they can show off to their friends. The Musical Ladder® is a unique method of music education and Greenwich Arts Academy is one of the few schools on the East Coast that offers it.
More importantly, when our students have a test coming up, they practice more, their parents are proud, their teachers are proud, and everybody wins. You can only get the Musical Ladder® here. We also specialize in music lessons for adults.

Greenwich Arts Academy is the only music school in Greenwich offering training on GarageBand, which is included free with most Apple desktop and laptop computers. Does your child sit in front of the computer stringing loops together, then wondering what to do next?C'mon, we all know it happens -- the daughter of the director of the Academy was creating and recording her own songs when she was five! (That's her working in Mr Michael's studio, by the way.)
We can help your child take that budding creative streak and give it focus. Some of our students study composition; some study songwriting, or beat-creation, or improvisation. The results speak for themselves.

Since we are one of the largest in-home music schools in the state of Connecticut, we are able to be a 'full service' music school. This allows us to offer lessons as early as 8 a.m. and we see many students between the hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m. If you are a home school parent, retiree, college student or working professional who has a flexible schedule, take advantage of our early morning and lunch time lesson spots.
We are the only music school in Greenwich that offers a picture day for their students.
Every Spring and Fall we host a free picture day with a professional photographer. This is a service that our students' parents love as they all want quality photos of their children. Adults are welcome too! Students can bring their instruments to the photo shoot and wear whatever they like.
A couple of times a year, the Academy invites students (and parents) to come on field trips to a variety of local or regional arts performances or other presentations. Every care is taken to make the experience smooth and fun, from tickets to meals to transportation.
Students and parents ride in style to the venue in a private Limo Bus, enjoy a meal and a world-class performance on a renowned stage such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, or any number of world-famous stages on Broadway -- then return home tired and inspired.
We are proud to offer our Greenwich families unique and amazing outings like this!

The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis.
If you are ready to start, you have nothing to lose, as we only want students who truly want to be here and we will not commit you to a long-term contract.
Imagine...
Painless music lessons.
No driving.
Happy kids, with...
Better grades.
More self-confidence.
More self-discipline.
More self-worth.

The ability to play an instrument or sing beautifully offers a lifetime of benefits. Music lessons also foster a student’s personal, social, and academic development. The Greenwich Arts Academy has made substantial investments in our methods and faculty to provide an uplifting environment designed to foster creativity, confidence and joy.
If you’ve been told you are tone deaf or uncoordinated, I’m here to inform you that everyone can improve their musical skills. As a musician, songwriter and music professor, I've witnessed thousands of students transform their lives in ways they never imagined possible. We make it our mission to help Greenwich students explore and develop their talents, wherever their curiosity and interests lead them.
Every parent wants to know how their child is progressing. That’s why, twice a year, we present our Red Carpet recitals in professional recital halls equipped with a Steinway grand piano (at no added fee). Bring your family and friends to share in the fun.
